On 20 October 2026, French journalist Didier Labouche, founder of the Georama publishing house, was awarded the “Oltin Qalam” (“Golden Pen”) National Award at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in France. Didier Labouche and Galina Polonskaya, a correspondent for Euronews, were also appointed honorary members of the Union of Journalists of Uzbekistan.
On 8 October 2026, an international roundtable discussion dedicated to the 690th anniversary of the birth of Amir Temur and an exhibition entitled “The Legacy of the Great Timurids: Art, Science and Culture of Central Asia” were held at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in France.
On 23 September 2026, the French Embassy in Uzbekistan hosted “Colours of the Orient, Soul of Uzbekistan,” an exhibition by Jura Asran, People’s Artist of Uzbekistan. His works highlight the country’s landscapes, traditions and rich cultural heritage. The exhibition celebrated cultural dialogue between France and Uzbekistan.
